Marie Trezanini

Teacher, singer and songwriter inspired by many different ethnicities and teachers. After obtaining her diploma in jazz and popular music at the Université du Québec à Montréal, she invested herself in a wide range of artistic projects and onstage productions for the past 20 years.

 

Since 2010 she has specialized in jewish yemenite music and instigated the « Essence yemenite » project, which presents a repertory of traditional songs and arrangements in arabic and hebrew, supported by the Canadian Council for the arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and the Montreal council for the arts. She also has a rich original repertory mostly in french and english, that have been presented as various projects: « Monde, un chemin vers soi », « A saveurs orientales and « An air of gold ».

Over the last 10 years, Marie has taught vocal techniques in workshops in France, Portugal, Canada, India with her method: «Kunda - voix »; a powerful technique through which she shares a number of tools to develop one's vocal potential and presence in the body – all promoting global health and well being.

 

She organized workshops in Quebec, Europe and India, offered private singing lessons, directed a women's choir, gave classes music theory in public and private music schools, and hosted music and yoga workshops for children. Her methods and practice are informed by a wealth of holistic approaches: over 20 years of yoga practice, egypto-essenien healing, and Chinese medicinal techniques from Qi gong, Taoisme (Mantak Cia), Tama do (a method created by Fabien Maman allying sound and acupuncture meridians).
